LENT SPECIAL: $19.95 Haddock Fish Fry Wednesdays & Fridays During Lent.
The infamous Lobster Pot, founded in 1972, has reopened in Willoughby Hills! Chris had purchased the restaurant from the original owner, Ross Haffey, and has had it for the past 7 years. The original location closed in 2005. Chris (the owner) and Kevin (Chris’s business partner & best friend) said they did not want to work for somebody else anymore. They ran The Lobster Pot for 19 years and were extremely passionate about the business. They loved the great customer relationships they had with the clients they served on a regular basis---they became friends to Chris and Kevin. Chris explained how he couldn’t develop these kinds of relationships working in a corporate office, and it was time for a change. When they found their new location, they were thrilled. They had put an offer down on this same place a year and a half ago and ended up losing. So now, they are extremely grateful to have been given the place they had hoped for years ago. Both Kevin and Chris live only a couple miles away from the new location, which makes work life a bit easier. They truly believe this location fits The Lobster Pot perfectly. The restaurant is a New England style lobster house. They offer lobster, obviously, as well as scallops, shellfish, lobster rolls, steak, pasta, chicken, sandwiches, fish tacos, and plenty more. Chris plans on going locally fresh when purchasing the ingredients for The Lobster Pot. The place has been decked out with fish décor, and will feature a large, actual Dory handmade boat that will hang from the ceiling. This Dory was created at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic in Nova Scotia. A large fish tank sits in the middle of the restaurant with different kinds of fish. There is also a lobster claw game for the kids! This restaurant can best be describes as “a blue collar joint with a white collar twist.” The Lobster Pot is now open Monday through Saturday!
