About The Lobster Pot

Ross Haffey, Christian Haffey’s father, was the founder of the original New England style Lobster Pot Restaurant in South Euclid, OH in 1972. The story goes…Ross went on vacation to New England and ate his way home, collecting recipes that are still being used today at our new location in Willoughby Hills, OH. 

In the late 1980’s Christian purchased the restaurant from his father. He ran The Lobster Pot until it closed in 2005 when he sold the building and property surrounding it. Christian had always intended to reopen in a new location, but, time slipped away and before we knew it 12 years had passed! In August 2017 we finally reopened at 2749 SOM Center in Willoughby Hills! 

We are a scratch kitchen proudly serving the freshest seafood available. When possible, we locally source as much as we can to support other Ohio businesses.  We are a proud member of the Willoughby Hills Community and are honored to be among other wonderful restaurants right here in our city.
